The other classes I don't find that strong. Maybe if you get all 5 of them they can be good, but that requires having high tier items, which basically requires maxed out shops, which is basically only relevant on the 3rd biome, and your army composition at this point should not need Cultists. They do basically nothing if you only have 2, and aren't that strong when you have 3 of them. Even with summon mutations, I find them very weak compared to other classes. The Gunner's ability is very strong as the Attack Speed boost affects your entire army! Mages are very useful to handle small amount of strong targets, since their ability deals a ton of damage to a single unit. Throwers are very useful to handle large amount of enemies like zombie waves thanks to their Bomb ability that turns their damage into AOE (if I understand that ability correctly). The lowest tier shield is very bad late game and tends to die very quickly, just get it early on for the Tank synergy, but it's fine if you lose it later on as long as you have the synergy. Tanks are very useful since having just 3 of them can prevent your other dudes from getting hit. You basically need Healers in any army, because whenever losing a unit, even if you get the item back, you're losing a lot of levels and your army won't be strong enough for late game. I tend to aim for level 3 shop at the end of first biome, then maxout the shop before the third biome. Replace (sacrifice) little by little the dudes you don't think you'll be using.Īlso, do not forget to upgrade your shop! A fully maxed out shop not only offers more items, but higher tier ones. When your army size is about right for the current biome, focus mutations and try to find class synergies (and if possible try to exploit as much as possible the random mutations you were given). I've found aiming for ~10-14 dudes on the first biome, 16-20 on the second, and 22-25 on the third to be about the right amount. Early game, just buy lots of unique items without trying to create synergies.
